• Free Christmas Labels •

Another free download! These little gift tags are perfect for your neighborhood gift exchange. Put one on the homemade goodies you take around. Choose from either the round hang tags on page 1 of the PDF, or use page 2 to print directly onto 2X4" Avery labels (Product 8163). Sorry I didn't have it finished a little sooner. If it's too late, save it for next year.

< Inaluxe >

I'm getting really into this whole giclée thing, so I'm extra excited when I discover the grear and affordable art that this makes available. Look at these great pieces (only $35 each) from Inaluxe, an Australia-based shop. Keep in mind these are not printed on canvas; they just look like they are. I'm going to be presenting an extensive line of art on my Etsy shop that is giclée printed on actual canvas. If you are interested in having any of my work printed on canvas, just let me know!

free shipping

Just thought I'd share: Carter's and Osh Kosh are offering free shipping on all orders today only.

.: love these stockings :.

From Rikrak.

Yogurt!

Alright folks, the waiting is over. The fear. The doubts. The sheer laziness. I finally made my own yogurt.

Some facts:
1: it worked.
2: 2 quarts cost less than $2 to make*
3: it was easy
4: I have eaten it and am still alive
5: I had all the required equipment on hand
6: it was delicious

*(I get milk for $1.99/gallon)

I'm just putting this out there to plant a seed of encouragement for all of you still eating nasty tasting, sugary, overly packaged, expensive, American yogurt. This is not an attack on you personally, just your yogurt. I have been shoving it down, too, though I am not at all ignorant of what good yogurt can be (you've been to Europe?). I kept saying I was going to start making my own yogurt, but I just kept putting it off. But after watching our recycling been overflow with little tiny Activia and Tillamook cups (I am SO sick of rinsing those things out), I thought, "Enough." This isn't one of those activities that Martha Stewart puts out there as domestic simplicity and then, after using up half your Saturday, spending $89 on supplies, and trashing your kitchen, you realize it just wasn't worth it. This is actually super easy. I used this recipe by Crystal Miller (just don't add as much sugar as they say; way too much).

< Mibo >

I ordered a couple of these print-it-yourself PDF projects from Mibo Studio last year (along with a print-it-yourself calendar, an idea I'm hoping to use this year in my Etsy shop...stay tuned). You buy the PDF, download it, and then can print out as many of these little guys as you want! Mind you, it's not as easy as clipping coupons (you probably want to use and X-acto knife). These could make VERY cute place card holders for table settings for a shower or holiday meal.

- Kate Spade Ski Hats -

It's so strange, but like five or six years ago I saw these hats in Vogue and tried to find them on the Kate Spade site. Not a trace of them. Now suddenly here they are! I'm not sure what the lag was all about. I still can't really afford one (my fave is the ski goggles).

~ Free Nursing Cover AND Free Baby Carrier ~

Udder Covers (I know, the name is worth some laughs) has done it again! I just got an email this morning that they are doing the free nursing cover promotion (they've done it several times before so I know it works...I love mine!). Makes a perfect gift, too. Just enter the promo code "Thanksgiving" (you still have to pay the $9.95 shipping). Valid once per transaction, but you can use the code more than once - you just have to open a new browser/window to do so. Due to available stock, they are not sure how long this promotion can last, so don't wait.

If you buy an Udder Cover, you will be give the option to go to their new baby carrier line at www.sevenslings.com and get a FREE sling (a $39 value, just pay shipping) by entering whatever email address you used to complete your Udder Cover transaction. This promo is good only once.

Note: for $3.50 you get what's called "Size Exchange Insurance," a one-time right to exchange the sling in your order for a different size sling. This non refundable insurance covers both the cost of shipping the sling back to us as well as the cost of shipping the new size sling back to you on our shipping account. Probably a good idea (I did it).

They ship to U.S. and Canada.

+ Play! 2011 Calendar +

“PLAY! Design for Kids” is EIGA’s new design calendar. The calendar contains the work of 53 designers and architects who combine concept and design with the joy of play to delight children. Plus each page handles the day-planner layout differently and plays with creative type. Definitely a fun way to organize your year.

.. soft goodness ..

Love these prints, combined with super cushy soft fabrics! Go check out all the other great stuff from Lulu's Woobies...all at very affordable prices! Everything is shipped all cute and ready-to-gift. After all the time and money I've spent at the fabric store, sometimes it seems a better idea is to just buy handmade.

.... car seat covers ....

I love this car seat cover I discovered from Lollipop Designs on Etsy. Sadly, her shop is closed for the moment because of a family loss. I'm actually going to try to make my own, but I wanted to share that there are many Etsy sellers who create these fabulous things. Go search it out.
