DIY: Glittered Pumpkins

No joke, I actually got this project from Martha Stewart Living. Visit this link and you'll find the directions for how to make your very own spangly glittered pumpkins. It is really very easy. Also, I did this with a large group, so I ordered glitter wholesale from this craft supply website: KitKraft. Make sure you use the ultra-fine glitter, not just fine, because it won't stick as evenly. Also, about 3-4 tablespoons of glitter is enough to do one very small, 4-5" dim, pumpkin. These turn out so well and they are so easy! However, next time I'm going to find some fake pumpkins to glitterfy, because it's a shame these will go bad in a few weeks.

Cool Jewelry from Shonah

I discovered this line on the popular design blog, Design Milk. I haven't actually seen these in person, but I love them. Plastic, animals, and patterns all in one totally unique piece of jewelry that would dress up the most casual outfit. Visit shonah.com.

Patterns from Prada

I must say I am not as immediately in love with this season's collection as much as some in the past, but I always find inspiration for decorative patterns and prints from Prada. This is from the Fall 08 collection. I think Linda is so radiant in the ad campaign. The clothes are beautiful, but hardly any variety. I did find some pretty cool stuff on the website showing some of the "Wallpaper" projects the fashion house has created. They are bizarre, but interesting. For the record I can't stand the Spring 09 line (do yourself a favor and don't look at it).

Some time I think I will do a post on all my favorite of Prada's past collections. Let's cross our fingers the future brings anything that good again.

Okay, I know: another ridiculously long blog post. And this one might border on the not-so-serious. But come on, what can possibly serious about baby Halloween costumes?
