:: prints ::

I just check in on Lab Partner's shop and found some pretty cute stuff (new letterpress prints above).

Their blog also keyed me in to a new Etsy seller (and well-established design house) Eight Hour Day. Definitely a similar style:

Below is artwork* hanging in the home of the couple, Katie Kirk and Nathan Strandberg, creators of Eight Hour Day. Featured on Design*Sponge last November:

*The side table lamps are Jonathan Adler and the artwork is from CSA images

- storage solution -

I saw this tiered storage bin at Pottery Barn and think it would be a fantastic way to organize bath toys...except our bathroom isn't quite big enough for it. Still though I'd share!

xx Lara Cameron xx

Yes, Lara Cameron hand-printed fabrics are all over the place, so you've seen them before, especially the birch print featured on the previous post on Little Mary Moo. I'm currently investigating where all those wonderful hand-printed fabrics came from. Lara Cameron is a designer of all sorts. Visiting her site, I discovered she also make letterpress greeting cards (kinda scarry how much my Aspen suite, pictured below, resembles her birch card...but it's a trendy, look, right?

<< Melbomba >>

Some of the fabulous fabric from today's earlier post comes from the talented Australian designer Melissa Bombardiere. Check her blog here, and her Etsy shop here.

:: pretty prints ::

Such cute fabric! Little Mary Moo's bags are made from predominately hand screen printed textiles.

{ fancy flours }

I thought these gemstone candies I discovered on Martha Stewart were so cool, and I followed the link to where you are supposed to be able to buy the molds to make them. The website, Fancy Flours, has so much cute stuff! Cupcake toppers, cookie cutters, and stencils. But I was never able to find the gemstone molds on their site. Sigh.

(( digital printing success ))

My latest wedding invitation design I just did for a friend of mine in San Diego. We wanted to keep the price low, so we printed digital. It turned out great! Everything was really pulled together by the use of Envelopements, fabulous pocket-fold enclosures.

=Mighty Tieton=

I may be able to stand living here after all! Our little family currently moved to the-middle-of-nowhere-Washington. Well, it's not that remote: the Yakima area. But after living in San Diego and Seattle, it is kind of an adjustment. But my husband and I recently discovered a flowering artistic community in Tieton, a town near the mountains. An entreprenurial venture called "Mighty Tieton" is working to "improve the economy of the town and region by combining its creative and professional talents and utilizing local resources to build successful businesses related to art, design, hospitality, and recreation.a small but growing group of designers, architects, artists, and creative individuals." Check out their website here.

I'm very interested in becoming part of all this, hopefully trying my hand in the printmaking studio Goathead Press. Also in part of Mighty Tieton is Marquand Editions, a nationally recognized art book publishing company that produces handmade art books. I was able to visit their amazing letterpress studio and Book Arts studio, which has a very hip little shop. The awesome limited edition letterpress coasters and handbound books sold there can be purchased on their website or Etsy shop.
