This is such a cute idea, and these are so cute: letterpress recipe cards by Suzy Ultman. What a fantastic way to turn a shared treat into a real gift!

In a previous post I shared my letterpress invitations for Jessica Shulte. Here are some images of the gift tags as they were incorporated into this amazing beach side wedding (including a baby sea turtle release!). I love seeing how it all worked together. I'm currently working on some baby shower pieces for a client who saw what I did for Jessica's wedding and loved it. Thank you, Stephanie Williams for your amazing photography. I just check in on Lab Partner's shop and found some pretty cute stuff (new letterpress prints above).

Their blog also keyed me in to a new Etsy seller (and well-established design house) Eight Hour Day. Definitely a similar style:

Yes, Lara Cameron hand-printed fabrics are all over the place, so you've seen them before, especially the birch print featured on the previous post on Little Mary Moo. I'm currently investigating where all those wonderful hand-printed fabrics came from. Lara Cameron is a designer of all sorts. Visiting her site, I discovered she also make letterpress greeting cards (kinda scarry how much my Aspen suite, pictured below, resembles her birch card...but it's a trendy, look, right?

=Mighty Tieton=

I may be able to stand living here after all! Our little family currently moved to the-middle-of-nowhere-Washington. Well, it's not that remote: the Yakima area. But after living in San Diego and Seattle, it is kind of an adjustment. But my husband and I recently discovered a flowering artistic community in Tieton, a town near the mountains. An entreprenurial venture called "Mighty Tieton" is working to "improve the economy of the town and region by combining its creative and professional talents and utilizing local resources to build successful businesses related to art, design, hospitality, and recreation.a small but growing group of designers, architects, artists, and creative individuals." I'm very interested in becoming part of all this, hopefully trying my hand in the printmaking studio Goathead Press. Also in part of Mighty Tieton is Marquand Editions, a nationally recognized art book publishing company that produces handmade art books. I was able to visit their amazing letterpress studio and Book Arts studio, which has a very hip little shop. The awesome limited edition letterpress coasters and handbound books sold there can be purchased on their website or Etsy shop.

[ Linda & Harriett Calendar ]

This is so cute and clever: Linda & Harriett's 2010 calendar, all letterpress printed and oh-so adorable, is also a set of postcards, so when each month is done you can re-use them as stylish mailers. Or selfishly hoard them as part of your letterpress collection, which is what I would do.

< Hello Lucky! >

I can't believe how many letterpressed greeting cards are available from Hello Lucky. All so cute. I especially love that each piece of artwork obviously took enough time and attention to detail to merit being letterpressed, unlike a lot of what is out there. I mean, honestly, who wants to pay $4.50 for a card with a little daisy on it that looks like it took 2 minutes to draw? These pieces are works of art! (I just bought the "I'd be lost without you" card myself).
