This is so cute and clever: Linda & Harriett's 2010 calendar, all letterpress printed and oh-so adorable, is also a set of postcards, so when each month is done you can re-use them as stylish mailers. Or selfishly hoard them as part of your letterpress collection, which is what I would do.

~ DIY: Free Halloween Banner ~

Last year I posted this Halloween Banner I designed so you can download it for free! Just print it out and follow the instructions (you'll need some ribbon and a hole punch). I'll have more free downloads for Thanksgiving and Christmas, so stay tuned! Happy Halloween

= Starbuck's Tumblers =

I am lucky to have a friend who works as a designer for Mint Design, here in Seattle (we went through the graphic design program together at BYU). So I've been able to work on a couple of small freelance jobs for Mint, and I was just invited to work on a project I think is super cool: holiday tumblers for Starbucks. Mint has done Tumblers for them in the past, which you can see if you navigate on their site to Clients > Starbuck's Tumblers. Hopefully some element of my designs will influence those that are selected to actually be produced!

This is just a few of the fabulous things I found when searching Etsy for quilts. Many shops will custom build a quilt or crib bedding to your liking.

:: Aunt Bucky ::

The bar is being raised, Etsy sellers. My latest discovery, Aunt Bucky, makes out-of-this-world-cute baby girl clothes and baby bedding that would rival any big brand. Because the fabrics, attention to detail, and construction aren't anything you could reproduce yourself, it's not cheap (not that I think it's at all overpriced). For $100 a dress, these are creations that demand anyone take Etsy a little more seriously! Oh, how I want to do my next baby's room in one of these colorful bedding sets!

The University of Washington Bookstore has really cool stuff. Very cool books, and very cool...stuff. The gifts, home decor, designer notebooks, and jewelry are the same things you find at the hippest little boutiques. Anyway, I saw these adorable little appetizer plates there, adorned with childish animal illustrations. They are only about $5 a piece, made by Tag, but they immediately reminded me of Kate Spade. Very quality and modern. You can buy the set on Amazon.
