[ Shade at Costco ]

So those of you in Utah are probably well aware that Shade tees are available for a great price ($19.99 for a 2-pack) at Costco). They have a variety of tees and tanks as well as some maternity tops ($19 for one). I was just at the downtown Seattle Costco and discovered the Shade reps are "touring" the Costcos of the Northwest, so be on the lookout! Sorry, I didn't write down exactly when they will be where (they'll be in Seattle for a little while), but I'm sure you could call the store and find out...(yeah, a lot of help I am). It would be great if we could get an actual Shade store up here, since I want to shop for more than just the tees.

.. Hop Skip Jump ..

A couple of years ago one of the first blogs I ever started looking at was Hop Skip Jump, created by a sewing-loving mommy named Fiona. Hers was one of the first inspiring examples I discovered of an indie creative type who made home-spun hip and became successful without leaving the walls of her own cushy home. Above are some of Fiona's recent creations, a few of which you can even buy on her online shop. Her blog has lots of neat homemaking ideas (like her very cool Christmas stockings).

< Spring 2010 Fashion >

Just some things I like as I browsed the runway shows for next spring. And, I just have to note how enthused I am about Emma Watson being Burberry's "face." She's just perfect for it.

:: Creative Thursday ... on Friday ::

Looking for cute artwork to adorn your walls? Something for your little one's bedroom? Creative Thursday has all the above paintings (prints of originals) and more on Etsy. You can visit her blog and website as well. These paintings inspire me to paint more. They're so simple, but beautiful and clever, and they prove you don't have to do something elaborate to make a wonderfully happy work of art.

[ Coco ]

I'm never the first to hear about anything, but just in case I'm not the LAST, I thought I'd remind you of the biographical film, Coco Before Chanel. Audrey Tautou looks very much like Chanel (well, softer and less stern), don't you think? Photos from Screenrush, Filmofilia and Trendmill.

< Jewell's Picks & Pics: Clip It >

Ladies and gentlemen, have you ever seen anything quite this insane? The creations from Enna Design, little felt clips and creatures, have such amazingly meticulous detail it makes you want to, well, buy them!

And now that I officially accept wearing hair clips, perhaps some of these extravagant little works of art will be an option!

< Hello Lucky! >

I can't believe how many letterpressed greeting cards are available from Hello Lucky. All so cute. I especially love that each piece of artwork obviously took enough time and attention to detail to merit being letterpressed, unlike a lot of what is out there. I mean, honestly, who wants to pay $4.50 for a card with a little daisy on it that looks like it took 2 minutes to draw? These pieces are works of art! (I just bought the "I'd be lost without you" card myself).
